Job description

Preco is now hiring for a Full-Time, 1st shift, Materials & Inventory Specialist in Somerset, WI.
 
As a materials & inventory specialist, you will be responsible for accurately transacting inventory through receipts, issues, cycle counting, and physical inventories.  Stocks and picks parts on schedule to meet demands for the floor and individual inventory transfers.  Assists in cost effective inventory management and prevention of stock-outs.

Preco is a leading designer and manufacturer of precision automated processing systems for high-speed and high-accuracy cutting, perforating, welding, and other specialized industrial processing applications. With our proprietary die cutting and laser-based manufacturing capabilities, Preco has also become one of the largest contract manufacturing service (CMS) providers in North America.

Key Responsibilities:  

1.      Performs a variety of material transactions on the computerized manufacturing system.

2.      Assist with filing of assorted forms (i.e. purchase orders, transfer tickets and requisitions).

3.      Verifies and keeps records on incoming & outgoing shipments.

4.      Count, weigh, and measure items for incoming & outgoing shipments. Verify against BOL, invoices, and packing slips.

5.      Reviews all coming in and out-going product to identify, document and report any non-conforming material.

6.      Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.  Will ship domestically and internationally.

7.      Receives, stocks, and picks inventory for issuance to the floor or requisitioner.

8.      Operates tier lift truck or uses hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

9.      Performs cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure on-hand accuracy.

10.  Can problem-solve any variances, discrepancies, or administrative anomalies solo or as a team with the Inventory & Materials Supervisor.

11.  Assist in training and mentoring if needed.

12.  Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.

13.  Other job duties as assigned by supervisor, which may include support to other departments within Preco.

Job Qualifications:  

18 years of age or older.

  • High school or GED.
  • Logistics and inventory real-world applicable experience.
  • 2 yrs or more of working experience with international shipping & receiving.
  • 2 yrs or more of working experience with ERP experience.
  • Excel use and comfort.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Highly organized & detail oriented.
  • A positive problem solver.Teamwork minded.
