Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist – ESY – Summer Session and/or Next School Year

Start Date: June 2024 – July 2024, August 2024 – May 2025

Caseload: Kindergarten - 12th Grade; up to two school sites; up to fifty students. Mileage Reimbursement for travel between school sites.

We are currently hiring a Speech Language Pathologist to service our students for the Upcoming School Year.

The ideal candidate is energetic, collaborative, and an experienced speech-language pathologist. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to therapy, evaluations, IEP development, and teacher consultation.

This position will be full-time working with students in the self-contained non-categorical classrooms and general education inclusion classrooms.

Preferred candidates will have experience with oral-motor skills, childhood development, PECS, and ABA/VB strategies. Speech Language Pathologist’s provide an exemplary educational program for students with and without special needs.

Performance Responsibly:

- Conducts speech-language screenings for students with suspected disabilities.

- Analyzes and interprets information to make recommendations regarding speech-language services.

- Plans and implements evidence-based interventions appropriate for individual students.

- Provides consultative services to teachers- parents- administrators- and allied agencies to integrate speech-language goals into the classroom- other educational programs- and the home environment.

- Assures placement of students in the speech-language program and develops and implements speech-language goals/objectives on individualized education plans according to established due process procedures

· Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders

· CFY's are encouraged to apply and will be considered (supervisor provided)

· Must have the ability to apply for a SLP license in the state of Illinois and be ASHA certified.

· PEL certification required before the beginning of the assignment.
