Paint Sprayer for Guitar Paint Shop

Description:

We are looking for a skilled painter who can mix and match color for painting and finishing guitar bodies and necks. An applicant should be knowledgeable in selecting the right material for the job, fixing imperfections on the parts such as bubbles, sand throughs, runs, etc., and experienced in painting with HVLP and HP spray guns. They must be reliable and deft as well as possess a great attention to detail. Experience with custom motorcycle or automotive painting is ideal.

Location: On-site at our Puyallup, WA sites

Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Compensation: $25.00-$30.00 DOE

Job Duties Include:

• Use polyurethane-polyester, lacquer, and urethanes for base-coating, airbrushing, and bursting.
• Fix impurities including pinholes, basecoat bubbles, sand-throughs, dings and runs using techniques such as air brushing, priming, sanding, and recoating.
• Mix paints and match colors.
• Handles and stores all regulated materials in compliance with company policy, state and federal regulations.
• Test materials and equipment, inventory management and shop cleanliness.
• Performance evaluation is based on both quality and efficiency – working at a quick pace while maintaining superior quality standards.
• Ensure the health & safety of yourself and others by following policies, procedures, and always acting in a safe manner.
• Wear and properly use personal protective equipment, which includes respirators, eye, and ear protection.

Job Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience painting in a spray booth.
• Knowledge of spray gun usages and spray gun repair on HVLP guns, and HP (high pressure) gun systems such as Iwata, Binks, Kremlin, Devilbiss, Sata, 3M
• Knowledge of spray equipment, single component, and plural component
• Experience with equipment related to painting and finishing (sanders, paint booths, buffers, etc.) is a plus
• Have good vision to include close and distance vision, depth perception, ability to focus and be able to distinguish color hues in various lighting
• Great eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity for fine detail spraying or sanding
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour period and lift 30 pounds
• Able to bend, reach and twist upper and lower body
