Job Description
Experienced Medical Assistant
Responsibilities include:
- Room patients, obtain vitals and clinical history, communication of chief complaint and pertinent medical issues to surgeon.
- Assist surgeon with consultations, including database entry and patient education.
- Assist with pre-operative evaluation of surgical patients.
- Assist with post-op visits: suture removal, wound care, patient education.
- Assist surgeons with office-based procedures.
- Counsel patients about our products, treatments, and surgeries.
- Answer patient questions by phone, email, and texting.
- Maintain thorough documentation in our Practice Management System.
- Maintain inventory of aesthetic and surgical supplies.
- Take clinical photos using digital cameras.
- Resolve patient complaints empathetically with solution-based methods.
- Foster relationships and communicate with other medical offices, to obtain records and coordinate surgical care.
- Assist with maintenance of surgeon credentials (insurance and Hospital privileges).
- Work with medical representatives to order devices and supplies for surgery.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Exceptional clinical judgment, employing a “safety first” mindsets.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Education/ Experience:
- High School Diploma, college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical office working as a medical assistant.
- Previous experience working in Plastic Surgery medical office a plus!
