We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our procurement team in our Fort Worth, Texas facility. As a critical member of our organization, you will be responsible for procuring and managing pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food ingredients to support our product distribution, manufacturing, and service operations in multiple locations. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost savings, ensure quality standards, and mitigate supply chain risks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic buying strategies for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food ingredients, aligned with company objectives and market trends.
  • Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including other buyers, quality assurance, logistics, and marketing, to understand ingredient requirements and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure open sales orders are less than 8 days from the time of full receipt.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, including conducting regular supplier evaluations, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze market dynamics, including price fluctuations, regulatory changes, and supply chain disruptions, to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives, including alternative sourcing and process improvements, to achieve the best cost solutions while maintaining Vivion’s product quality standards.
  • Utilize data analytics and sourcing tools to track key performance metrics, identify savings opportunities, and generate actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends related to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food ingredient sourcing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic projects and initiatives to support company goals and objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement roles, with a focus on pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food ingredients.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing principles, supplier management practices, and contract negotiation strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record of sourcing new ingredients from multiple suppliers, negotiation, relationship-building, driving cost savings, process improvements, and supplier performance enhancements.
  • Must be fluent in English, (Mandarin a plus), and able to conduct effective and efficient verbal communication with team members in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Taiwan using video-conferencing.
  • Proficiency in computer software (Google a plus) including ERP (Microsoft Dynamics a plus), MRP, and sourcing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 based on your education, skills, and experience.

Location: This position will be onsite 5 days a week Monday - Friday at our South Fort Worth, TX office.
