Senior Aerospace Maintenance Mechanic

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is collaborating with a leading provider of advanced mechanical systems for top aerospace OEMs to fill the position of a Senior Maintenance Mechanic.

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to serve as the right-hand support to the Maintenance/Facilities Director. In this role, you will oversee troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems on the Process floor and Facility, as well as assist in project planning and daily task management for the Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in CNC Milling and lathe equipment, including equipment alignment, and demonstrate proficiency in reading mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lead mechanical repairs and rebuilds on all machines.
• Conduct machine leveling and alignment.
• Perform replacement of machine linear guides and ball screws.
• Work with complex NC machines, including up to 5-axis systems.
• Diagnose and correct malfunctions in electrical and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with OEM machine controllers (FANUC, Siemens, and NIT).
• Plan and fabricate replacement parts for precision machine tool rebuilding.
• Analyze and coordinate resolutions for technical problems.
• Interface with manufacturers' line tech support when necessary.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Recommend improved work methods and procedures, and assist in employee training.
• Adherence to all OSHA and EHS policies and procedures.
• Perform related tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in analyzing, rebuilding, and repairing NC machinery and other equipment.
• Excellent customer service demeanor.
• Collaborative work ethic.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to varying situations.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with 10+ years of CNC maintenance experience.
• Solid mechanical background with experience in CNC machines, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and programmable logic controls.
• Capability to read schematics and parts drawings, conduct routine preventive maintenance, and utilize a multimeter.
• Competence in shop math and basic computer skills, including MS Office programs.

Desired Characteristics:

• Fanuc and Siemens certification.
• AS100 certification.
• Training experience with Mori Seiki, Makino, Cincinnati Milacron, OKK, SNK, and Kuraki Machines.
