As a Human Resources Manager (HRM) for GE Aerospace Research in Niskayuna, NY, you will support a world class community of researchers, engineers, and scientists. You will serve as the primary HR partner for multiple client groups (approximately 300 employees total), working closely with executives, leaders, and employees to build a high performance, collaborative, and engaging culture.

What You'll Do

Strategic HR Business Partnership

  • Partner with executive and senior leadersto shape and deliver people strategies that enable the organization's mission.
  • Translate business priorities intotalent, organization, and culture plans(e.g., workforce planning, succession, capability building).
  • Advise and coach leaderson team effectiveness, organizational design, and change management during times of growth, transformation, and ambiguity.

Employee Experience, Culture, and Engagement

  • Serve as theprimary HR contactfor researchers, engineers, and scientists, building trusted relationships and being visible and accessible on site.
  • Lead and supportemployee engagement initiativesand team touchpoints, using feedback and data to identify opportunities and action plans.
  • Partner with crossfunctional teams to shape theemployee value proposition (EVP)and strengthen the research culture, including community relations, site events, guest speakers, recognition programs, and inclusion activities.
  • Act as aproactive employee advocate, helping to create an environment where employees can do their best work and feel a strong sense of belonging.

Talent, Performance, and Development

  • Drive coretalent management and performance processes, including talent reviews, calibration, and succession planning.
  • Partner with leaders toidentify, develop, and retain critical talent, including earlycareer researchers and highly specialized technical experts.
  • Supportcareer development and coachingconversations, connecting employees to learning resources, mentorship, and internal opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and other HR partners onrecruiting strategiesto attract top STEM talent.

Employee Relations, Total Rewards, and HR Operations

  • Providedaytoday HR guidanceon topics such as policies, performance, employee relations, and fundamental HR processes, escalating as appropriate.
  • Partner closely with HR Services and specialist teams (e.g., benefits, compensation, talent acquisition) toensure timely, highquality issue resolution.
  • Support leaders and employees in understandingtotal rewards(compensation, benefits, recognition) and how they align with performance and business goals.
  • Usesound judgment and discretionto handle sensitive matters and maintain a professional, positive presence during times of change and uncertainty.

Continuous Improvement and DataDriven HR

  • Partner with the HR team onprojects that drive continuous improvement, implement standard work, and enhance HR processes.
  • Leveragepeople data and KPIs(e.g., engagement, turnover, recruiting metrics, etc.) to identify trends, solve problems, and build action plans.
  • Participate in or leadlean and processimprovement initiativesto strengthen HR delivery and the overall employee experience.
  • Deliverclear written communications and presentationsto convey concepts, program updates, and recommendations to all levels of the organization.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience in large scale corporate environments, preferably industrial manufacturing/engineering focused
  • Excellent collaboration, influence, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude during times of change and uncertainty
  • Demonstrated skills in employee relations w/ strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and use sound judgment in decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels in the business as a credible business partner and trusted advisor
  • Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule, which means being on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, as well as additional days when on-site support is needed

The base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.This posting is expected to close on July 31st, 2026.
