ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

The Additive Manufacturing Engineer is an Additive Manufacturing Engineer, with hands-on, practical experience. This position will accelerate the technical and commercial traction of our core technologies and products. As an Additive Manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, designing 3D printable technical product designs, and maintaining process documents within an AS9100 continuous improvement quality culture.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL BE DOING AS AN ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER:

  • Create efficient STL 3D print files
  • Develop 3D printing processes that are manufacturing ready
  • Create new products on our varied composites, textile, coating, foam, and additive manufacturing technologies
  • Test newly created products
  • Test raw materials
  • Document processing conditions. test results, and other critical-to-quality data
  • Develop best practice SOP's, WI's, etc. for AM processes
  • Generate optimized build files to produce high quality parts in minimum time with maximum consistency
  • Monitor builds on a varying schedule
  • Assist in Quality System audits
  • Research new 3D printable materials and leverage those materials into new technical products

QUALIFICATIONS:

SKILLS YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE

  • Working knowledge of all 3D Printing processes (existing and emerging)
  • 3D Slicing Expertise
  • Working knowledge of materials testing equipment
  • Eagerness to learn and explore advanced 3D composites, textile processes, and other AM processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective team player, with strong critical-thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks, Rhino, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to create and read 3D Modeling, and convert to 3D Print files

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree from an accredited institution, with a concentration in a relevant materials science discipline preferred

  • 2 years of prior relevant experience is required
