Sales Administrator
Department: Sales, Distribution
Location: Itasca
Type: Full-Time
The role of a Sales Administrator is to focus upon development of sales for both new and existing customers facilitating growth as part of team assisting on tasks as assigned Account Managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
• Monitoring customers and liaising closely with commercial, logistics, product development, regulatory and quality departments
• Dealing with customer queries and responding in a timely manner
• Sending any requested quality documents to customer and liaising with quality team when necessary
• Sending product samples to customers when required. This will involve either handling samples in the office or liaising with warehouses to request samples from sample stock or from inventory.
• Sending price quotes to customer, liaising with Product Management team for this and collecting necessary information from customers
• Assisting with lead qualification
• Logging opportunities & quotes in CRM systems
• Monitoring shipments to customers when necessary and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
• Review and control stock levels for key accounts, ensuring sufficient inventory for contracts
• Produce reports for senior managers.
• Understand commercialization processes and be able to help track and prioritize tasks across multiple departments and divisions.
• Make travel arrangements for senior managers and as required for members of the commercial team
• Manage tasks assigned for business development in line with agreed objectives set by Account Managers.
• Participate in the wider sales team to develop strategies that can deliver the identified growth.
• Report as required on efforts within the accounts and participate in updating of account plans.
• Be an expert on accounts understanding both markets and competitors.
• Keep up to date with the technical benefits of our product range to be able to explain to customers.
• Ability to maintain customer files with all relevant documents kept in good order.
• Create systems that help business development with associated targets.
• Execute duties timely.
• Communicate effectively and ensure the latest news is provided as it becomes available.
• Be willing to travel on business where needed & stay within the guidelines provided for travel & business-related expenses. In addition to provide a monthly expense report with all receipts in order that expenses incurred can be approved & repaid. This said this role is not seen as requiring significant levels of travel.

Required Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Five+ years of customer service or sales experience

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Salesforce.com.
• Familiarity or general aptitude for ERP systems is preferred
