Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with a strong background in cost accounting and financial management, preferably with 2 years of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel proficiency and experience working with ERP systems, particularly in a manufacturing environment. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various finance department operations, including APAR, payroll, financial assistance, business insurance management, development, and training, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling, and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends, and assessing the financial health of the company.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Collaborate with Controller on decisions related to the company’s finances.
• Assist with the creation of company financial status and forecasts documentation.
• Manage customer and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with the Controller on bank management.
• Assisting with HR tasks when needed - manage payroll processing, and benefits processes, Federal/State filings, and 401k administration.
• Assist with business insurance management.
• Contract review - sign off and review as needed.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Credentials and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, OR relevant experience
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles
• High proficiency in cost accounting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with ERP systems, comfortable in manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
