Job Description

Eluvio is the blockchain home for media content. Enabling creators and their communities to store, stream, mint, ticket, and trade any content experience on the blockchain – live channels, films, digital albums, ebooks, collectibles, metaverse, and more.

An UX/UI Designer on Eluvio’s Design team is a natural at layout, graphic design and UX principles, and is very comfortable using Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator and other tools needed to execute designs for interactive products. They have keen attention to detail for consistency and functionality. They are very comfortable working with developers to ensure that designs are properly annotated and explained and also that their graphics elements are being exported properly for templates. They know their way around safe areas and different web formats. They will be involved in ensuring the latest branding elements and designs are accounted for in the product, carefully noting aspects of the product that need to be updated. They will help communicate the specs of the latest designs to the development team. They will assist with further development of Eluvio’s branding/design system. They will be involved in many different projects, and strong communication and organizational skills are important.

Logistics

Working space:

Remote is great, but if you are Berkeley-based, you are welcome to come into the office. There are also a few times of year when travel to the Berkley office is required for employees. Please be US-based.

Timezone:

Pacific Time, Mountain Time, or even Hawaii time zones can all work. We are trying to increase our support in the PT timezone so we are currently looking for people who can naturally work in that approximate time zone. Please reach out with questions.

Requirements

5-10 hands-on experience with layout, type, and composition in a digital space/digital product
Able to quickly absorb information to gain a thorough knowledge of capabilities of the platform through self-guided research after being shown how to access it
Highly competent with app and web page layout and knowledge of design for different breakpoints using Figma
Excellent branding, layout and typography skills
Knowledge of CSS, motion experience, 3D experience, branding experience
Software skills needed are outlined below
Able to stay present & on task in a remote working environment; proactively offers updates without being asked
Great self-management skills re: anticipating deadlines and proactive about asking for needed items
Able to jump between different creative programs with ease and learn new plugins or software quickly.

Responsibilities

Development of UX flows and designs for new features for various Eluvio apps
Daily visual QA and quality control of product visuals (front end, back end, website, etc)
Help maintain documentation about the latest design available for components
Helping to ideate for special client promotions
Design production support. This includes, but is not limited to, resizing & outputting optimized imagery, adapting designs for additional pages and breakpoints, etc.
Marketing materials support for printed items and reels. This includes various materials that are not directly related to UX/UI but may need to borrow elements from those style systems.
Work with design interns we may have from time to time and assist with instructing them on simple updates
