Job Title: Surgical Scheduler & Insurance Verification Supervisor

Job Summary:

Precision Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is seeking a Revenue Cycle Operations Supervisor. This position supervises daily revenue cycle operations for our surgical services, including overseeing a team of surgical schedulers, billing analysts, and outsourced RCM vendors.

Locations: Laurel, MD

Duties:

• Supervise Precision’s surgical scheduling team, ensuring all surgical cases are properly authorized, the patient’s insurance is verified, and ensuring the patient’s pre-op clearance process is communicated to and completed by the patient by the scheduled time, at Precision operated Ambulatory Surgery Centers and third-party surgical facilities.
• Supervise Precision’s billing analysts and RCM vendors to ensure proper billing of surgical cases and follow up on outstanding receivables, including appealing denied claims.
• Supervise communications with payors and patients for surgical cases, including maximizing upfront patient responsibility collections.

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of revenue cycle experience with 1+ year of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of medical and surgical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes.
• Experience with ambulatory surgery center revenue cycle operations and physician practices (Orthopedics preferred), including but not limited to prior authorizations and insurance verification
• Experience using payor websites/portals and clearinghouses
• Experience working with RCM vendors
