Hospital Medical Collector

Description
A major healthcare organization in the Santa Monica area is looking for a Medical Collector who has experience collecting in a hospital setting. As the Medical Collector, you will be assisting the Revenue Cycle team in helping reach out to patients regarding overdue accounts. The Collector will mainly collect on HMO plans, therefore prior experience dealing with similar plans is important to success in this position. The Medical Collector will utilize a combination of electronic health record (EHR) and paper patient records to perform billing duties;
maintain an accurate, legally compliant medical record.
For this position, prior experience collecting for transplants is a MUST. This is an on-site position, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Requirements
--2+ years of prior hospital collections experience
