Job description
Responsibilities:
Rooming patients, obtaining vitals and history and entering patient data into EMR system
Administering injections and blood draws
Preparing cultures and samples to be sent out to the lab
Assisting with in-office procedures
Administering testing such as EKGs
Sending prescription refills, referrals and pre-authorizations
Returning phone calls and routine office duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Certification as a medical assistant preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of X-Ray procedures and equipment is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
