Reliable Contracting Co., Inc. is looking for a Scale House Attendant to join our team at our Waugh Chapel Asphalt Plant and Quarry.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Serves as the first point of contact for customers picking up, and depositing material at the Waugh Chapel Plant; calculates payments, prints tickets, checks loads, and ensures the safety of the customer and other employees through observation of safety rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- High School diploma / GED required
- Computer experience required. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word a plus.
- Multi-tasking skills are essential.
- Willing to work Monday thru Friday. Saturdays may be required during the Spring, Summer and Fall.
- Communicate effectively with customers and drivers providing concise instruction or information
- Use effective listening skills to collect required information
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Greet customers and direct them to appropriate loading areas
- Enter truck and order information into computer ticketing system
- Correctly calculate payments from customers
- Weigh trucks in and out with appropriate verification or signatures
- Ensure incoming loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material
- Providing general upkeep of the Scale House
- Filing and answering phones
- Approach all encounters with employees, customers and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Answer incoming calls and provide requested information and/or follow up.
Learn and master the computer program to use at its full capacity. Handle possible computer issues and report them to IT as necessary.
