Unit Manager (RN/LPN)

The Unit Manager will oversee the care management of a population of patients within an assigned area, unit or clinical function. The position conducts the nursing process, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the scope of the State's Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure. The Unit Manager - RN coordinates resource utilization, timely and appropriate care interventions, and interdisciplinary communication to enhance patient and family satisfaction, adherence to center's clinical systems and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures, medications, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Must possess, a valid RN/LPN license in the state of New Jersey.
• Must have, as a minimum, one year(s) of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility, rehabilitation and hospital or other related health care facility. Experience in long-term care preferred
• Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
