PROPERTY SECURITY GUARD- $21.00 +

Base Pay: $21.00 +  

Summary:

The Property Security Guard will greet the guests and make them feel welcome as they enter the winery.  Protect the winery, its guests, and associates from personal injury, and from loss or damage of property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understands and adheres to the Ponte values and service standards.
• Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
• Respond to guest and hotel requests and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
• Continuously patrol and inspect hotel property and report all suspicious occurrences or safety concerns.
• Monitor limos as they enter the property ensuring they have a reservation and follow limo procedures.
• Maintain orderly and safe conduct of guests while on property.
• Assist or direct the investigation of suspected theft or misconduct of associates and guests.  Investigate damage to property.
• Follow lost and found procedures and ensure guest property is properly secured.
• Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.  
• Be familiar with emergency procedures, and provide calm, reassuring assistance to guests and fellow associates in the event of an emergency.
• Perform any additional duties as requested by the Tasting Room Manager.
• Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner.
• Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
• Has attention to detail.
• Is consistently striving to be better.
• Courteous and has the ability to smile spontaneously.
• AA degree in Police sciences or related field.
• Current California Guard card required.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Qualifications:

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work special events ( i.e. barrel tastings, wine club pick up parties, etc.)
• Experience with wine desirable but not essential
• Positive attitude, good conversational skills and enjoyes working with the guests.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to engage the guests in a clear and professional manner.
• Be willing and able to work well under pressure.
• Work in high paced work environment.
• Ability to multitask.
