Engineering Supervisor – Traffic Operations

TeamSoft IT Solution’s client is looking for a direct hire Engineering Supervisor. This position is on-site in Atlanta, GA working for a transportation company. This direct hire position pays between $90,000 - 120,000/year

Engineering Supervisor Job Summary:

Manages, directs, and evaluates assigned staff. Develops and oversees employee work schedules to ensure adequate coverage and control. Processes employee concerns and problems and counsels or disciplines as appropriate.
Prioritizes and schedules work activities to meet objectives. Ensures that subordinates have the proper resources needed to complete the assigned work. Monitors status of work in progress and inspects completed work. Consults with assigned staff to assist with complex/problem situations and provide technical expertise.
Develops, plans, and implements short- and long-term goals, objectives, and strategies for the assigned functional area to ensure efficient organization and completion of work.
Develops and manages capital improvement plans and programs for infrastructure projects: coordinates with department staff to understand needs for infrastructure upgrade and replacement, estimates project costs, and prioritizes projects.
Provides technical support during design: conducts and/or reviews modeling, planning, and engineering studies in support of project analysis and design; reviews reports detailing the quantitative analysis performed and concluding recommendations; and reviews and verifies engineering calculations and analysis submitted by consultant engineers or internal engineering staff.
Manages design, development, construction and/or implementation of complex, multi-year, county-wide projects and programs.
Receives and responds to concerns, complaints, and inquiries from both internal and external customers; participates in communication and public educational efforts regarding specialty assignment area.

Engineering Supervisor Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field required.
Ten years of experience in engineering or related field.
Must possess a Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
Must be a driven individual with a traffic mindset (i.e. understanding traffic patterns and signs.)
Demonstrated experience in managing, directing, and evaluating staff in engineering or infrastructure projects.
Proven track record of successfully overseeing and implementing capital improvement plans and infrastructure projects.
