Senior Security Engineer

100% Remote

Core10 is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls and protocols to protect Core10's systems and infrastructure. You will collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure the consistent implementation of security best practices throughout the organization.

Requirements

What you’ll do:

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls and protocols to protect Core10's systems and infrastructure.
• Ensurethat data lake and data warehouse solutions adhere to regulatory requirements, maintain data privacy standards, and comply with internal governance policies.
• Conduct regular security assessments and identify vulnerabilities and risks.
• Collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure the consistent implementation of security best practices.
• Participate in incident response activities and perform root cause analysis for security incidents.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.
• Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs for employees.
• Conduct security audits and risk assessments.
• Create and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Security Engineer
• In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, architectures, and technologies.
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
• Experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, and identity and access management systems.
• Experience with SOC2, NMAP, Kubernetes, Github Advanced Security, Code QL, Falco and Cloudflare
• Experience with cloud security, specifically AWS security features and services.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points:

• Previous experience in the banking or fintech industry.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Security certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Network+, Security+, Pentest+, OSCP
