Site Operations Director

Position Description

Guardian Centers of Georgia is an advanced training and exercise campus located in the state of Georgia. The 830-acre property was purpose-built in 2012 for realistic, full immersion training that effectively spans academic and lanes training to relevant large-scale exercises.

Our clients include US Federal Agencies, all branches of the Military and First Responders, including international teams.

The company has an opening for a Director of Campus Operations that reports to the CEO.

Working in close coordination with the program directors, this position is responsible for executing events in accordance with the client’s statement of work while maintaining the

Guardian Centers' reputation for excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and management for the campus operations team to deliver exceptional performance.

  • Develop and maintain excellent customer service relationships with the clients that train on campus.

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with direct reports and within the organization.

  • Assist the program directors in planning and delivery of training and exercises.

  • Manage and direct the preparation of campus venues prior to training deliveries.

  • Maintain full situational awareness of campus activity at all times.

  • Responsible for safe campus operations and OSHA compliance as required.

  • Serve as the point of contact for clients once they are on-site for training.

  • Select, train, and manage campus support personnel.

  • Evaluate job performance of direct reports to ensure effectiveness.

  • Organize and lead team meetings.

  • Manage labor and sub-contractors that support campus activity, facility maintenance and build projects.

  • Develop and manage a master plan for campus operations, maintenance, and support.

  • Plan, monitor and analyze key performance indicators for day-to-day performance.

  • Manage expenditures and budget.

  • Plan and manage campus maintenance activity.

  • Plan and manage project schedules to ensure on-time and on-budget completions.

  • Review and approve invoices for logistics, equipment, and campus maintenance activity.

Requirements:

  • Business, educational, or technical degree.

  • Project management certification preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing facilities and support personnel.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge using MS Office software.

  • Must be capable of lifting and walking with 50 pounds.

  • Must successfully pass a background check to include access to sensitive information.

  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in the company’s random drug testing program.

  • Must be a citizen of the United States in good standing.

  • Must be eligible to receive and hold a US Government issued security clearance.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Primary work location is on the Guardian Centers Campus in Perry, Georgia.
