QUANTEM AVIATION IS HIRING a LEAD PASSENGER SERVICE AGENT AT BALTIMORE'S BWI AIRPORT

TYPE: Full-Time / Non-Exempt SHIFT: (Monday - Sunday / Open availability to work early morning, afternoons, late evenings and over-nights, Working Weekends and Holiday's Required)

Lead Agents play a critical role in keeping passengers and aircraft moving safely and on time. As a Lead, some of your responsibilities include:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensures all QAS and customer safety standards are met and maintained
  • Maintains a safe working environment for subordinates
  • Leads operations to organize the base in a manner free of hazardous situations
  • As directed by the General Manager and/or Operations Supervisor, provides training for base employees
  • Works with the General Manager and/or Operations Supervisor to maintain Quantem Customer Service standards
  • Responsible for above-wing operations (i.e., ticketing, gate, and jet bridge functions)
  • May also be responsible for aircraft cabin cleaning, as needed, to include: seats, seat back pockets, floors, pantries, galleys, toilets, telephones, windows, flight deck (if specified), and passenger & crew compartments.
  • Issues and checks tickets, verifies travel documents, handles financial transactions, and processes carrier travel vouchers.
  • Operates computerized passenger ticket terminals.
  • Assigns cabin seats, verifying passenger counts.
  • Checks in, and tags passenger baggage.
  • Directs passengers to designated areas.
  • Handles passengers requiring special assistance, such as disabled passengers, parents with infants.
  • Makes announcements over airport communication systems.
  • Ensures that all flights that Quantem loads and/or unloads operate on time
  • Responds to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner
  • Protects freight from elements, damage, and vandalism
  • Compliance with all applicable environmental laws and permits
  • Performs other duties assigned by QAS management

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma (or GED)
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish; must be able to read, write and speak fluently in Spanish
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Must be able to pass required background and clearance requirements
  • Successful completion of required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screening
  • The Inland Group of Companies maintains a drug-free workplace and, as such, all candidates and employees can expect to participate in our drug testing program.
  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Must be professional and alert at all times
  • Must be able to keep all information confidential

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds in a safe manner individually or with other team members
  • Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs
  • Must have good communication skills when interacting with passengers

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Potential exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time
  • Noise level in the work environment may be excessive at times
