Position Summary

The Passenger Services Agent is responsible for fulfilling Huntleigh USA's commitment to providing exceptional service to airline passengers requiring wheelchair assistance, whether by necessity or for comfort. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and pleasant travel experience by providing wheelchair and aisle chair assistance, baggage support, and general customer service throughout the airport.

The Passenger Services Agent maintains compliance with Huntleigh USA, airline, and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) safety and security requirements while delivering professional, courteous service to all passengers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transport passengers safely to and from required airport locations while remaining alert to potential hazards.
  • Provide wheelchair and aisle chair assistance to inbound and outbound airline passengers.
  • Assist passengers in and out of wheelchairs while ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Provide luggage assistance for arriving and departing passengers.
  • Assist hearing-impaired and visually impaired passengers with guidance and support.
  • Escort passengers to restaurants, restrooms, and animal relief areas as needed.
  • Ensure passengers arrive at the correct departure gates safely and on time.
  • Provide airport information, directions, and exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate with dispatchers and gate agents regarding passenger assistance assignments.
  • Complete incident reports and maintain accurate wheelchair trip logs.
  • Comply with all TSA screening requirements and airport safety regulations.
  • Monitor passenger needs to ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive travel experience.
  • Retrieve and return wheelchairs to designated staging areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or hold up to 75 pounds or more.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift.
  • Ability to squat, stoop, bend, push, pull, and maintain mobility throughout the shift.
  • Ability to assist passengers on stairs and boarding areas when required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred (required in some locations).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings (DOT or Non-DOT, as applicable).
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.
  • Passion for helping others and delivering exceptional service.
  • Previous airport, airline, passenger assistance, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced airport environment with exposure to moving equipment and moderate noise levels.
  • May require working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, wet or humid conditions, fumes, and vibrations may occur.
