The Project Management group within Astound’s Las Vegas Facility is at the center of supporting the team; no matter the level. As a member of the project management team, your role is focused on orchestrating project and program level operations, contemplating different aspects of a project like objectives, asset organization for distribution amongst teams, resourcing and allocations, timing, scope, project financials, internal and external communication, dependencies, and deliverables.

The Project Manager plans, executes, and super-delivers our largest high-quality Trade Show, Event, & Experiential projects within budget and timeline.

The Project Manager will occasionally partner with our sales and solutioning & estimating teams to define project scope, timeline, & execution plan; then oversees quality control throughout the execution of the job; leading the execution & problem solving of plans that allow our teams to create exciting work.

The Project Manager may oversee a portion of the Project Coordinator team and reports up to the Director, Project Management.


PROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate, track, monitor and report project updates, health, activities, and scope tracking
  • Work closely with the Sales, Account Management, Facilities, and Operations departments to ensure that project budgets are strictly adhered to and that profits are maximized.
  • Ensure all projects deliver within 95% of the budget plan. Clearly communicate to leadership if/when they will not and why.
  • Manage, Track & Report all project costs of projects managed inclusive of labor, materials, purchases, rentals, fabrication, and third party costs and services.
  • Develop, Update, coordinate and maintain all project timelines of projects managed, inclusive of monitoring and reporting progress, investigating delays, and taking or recommending appropriate actions to ensure all schedules are met.
  • Clearly communicate and facilitate the flow of information and project statuses of projects managed across all teams, inclusive of client, client services, operations, third party vendors, executive and other internal stakeholders.
  • Manage all post-launch client communication of projects managed in partnership with client services, inclusive of project statuses, timelines, updates, problem solving and other needs as they arise.
  • Negotiates with and/or advise on negotiation with third party vendors and suppliers regarding budgetary and scheduling issues
  • Provides direction and support to the full project teams.
  • Define and/or advise on project tasks and resource requirements & allocations.
  • Leads project wrap inclusive of final budget reconciliation, accurate record of all historical quotations, final invoices, detailed drawings, final renderings, and server maintenance for all projects managed.
  • Define and adjust processes to meet project/business needs and look for ways to improve processes while coaching teams to do the same
  • Contribute to capability model definition and management
  • Develops and maintains project files for project completeness.
  • Provide strategic and creative thinking, partnering with client services and operations on accountability for project profitability, timeline, exceptional communication, superior-quality delivery, client growth and team health
  • Occasionally participate in new business RFI, RFP, proposal development, and SOW construction, including estimating of projects (or specific aspects of projects), review of provided estimates, definition of project scope, development of clear project goals and deliverables, and timeline development.
  • Lead project launches to CAD, Facilities and/or other internal teams, clients or vendors; ensuring a clean collection and/or creation of clear launch packet inclusive of approved design, scope of work, timeline, and detailed budgets with associated budgetary allocations.
  • Occasionally direct and oversee a team of Project Managers & Coordinators managed inclusive of review, advisement and guidance on project costs, timeline, communication, and problem solving as needed.


PROJECT MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in account/project management in one of the following areas: Commercial, Hospitality, Retail or Mixed-Use Construction Management; Architectural Project Management; Specialty Fabrication; Large Scale Event, Experiential or Trade Show Production; advertising or brand marketing.
  • Credible leader who can win the confidence of employees and leadership alike
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, material and fabrication processes.
  • Senior level understanding of project management methodologies of larger projects and programs including the ability to develop detailed project plans, budgets, status reports etc.
  • A systematic, detail-oriented thinker with proven track record of guiding high-performing teams and projects
  • Enjoys learning and developing new ways of thinking both within our department and across the organization
