Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to lead the design and implementation of control systems for a variety of press machinery. This role involves responsibility for designing industrial control panels in compliance with UL 508A standards, developing PLC programs, and crafting HMI interfaces. There are opportunities to gain expertise in advanced motion control, heat and pressure regulation, and data logging.

Key Responsibilities:

Industrial Control Panel Design
Develop complete drawing sets in AutoCAD Electrical to guide our in-house electricians in constructing industrial control panels.
Ensure all electrical designs meet UL 508A standards.
PLC/HMI Development
Program PLCs using predominantly Allen-Bradley platforms.
Design user-friendly and consistent HMI interfaces.
Engineer programs for advanced motion control.
Startup and Testing
Conduct initial in-house startups of new machinery to verify functionality.
Adjust PID loops within motion controllers to enhance machine performance.
Design Review and Programming Support
Evaluate cabinet designs from developing engineers or during peer reviews.
Share and discuss coding practices with fellow programmers.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Travel requirements are minimal, under 5%.
