Electrical Controls Engineer Woodridge, IL
Currently looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer to fill an opening with a company in Woodridge, IL. Interested candidates should have at least three years of Electrical Controls Engineering experience in manufacturing with preferably Electrical Controls Engineering for automation.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Controls Engineer
  • Develop the electrical controls for automated machinery using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Be able to program Allen-Bradley or Omron programmable logic controllers PLC's
  • Be able to program HMI Human Machine Interface such as Panel View or similar software
  • Mentor a panel builder to build your panels from scratch, wire the sensors to the PLC's, wire the terminal blocks and integrate the electrical controls for automated machinery
  • Utilize wire strippers, continuity testers, voltmeters and other electrical and power tools to build the panels
  • Work with the mechanical engineers to build new custom machinery and be prepared to be trained to use E Plan
  • Document the controls layouts in AutoCAD or similar CAD software

Requirements of the Electrical Controls Engineer
  • At least three years of electrical controls engineering experience in manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering type of technical discipline is required

Compensation for the Electrical Controls Engineer
The targeted annual base salary for this first shift position ranges from $85,000 to $115,000 depending on experience.
