Job description

Controls Engineer II
Location: High Point, NC (Onsite, with 25% Travel)
Compensation Range: $85,000 - $105,000 + Bonus + Relocation Assistance
We're working with a growing manufacturing organization that's investing heavily in automation across multiple production facilities and is looking to add a Controls Engineer II to its engineering team.
This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering and will play a key role in supporting existing manufacturing operations while helping drive new automation initiatives across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Programming, troubleshooting, and supporting Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC systems
  • Developing and maintaining HMI and SCADA applications, primarily within Ignition and FactoryTalk environments
  • Supporting equipment commissioning, startup, and integration projects
  • Troubleshooting production issues and driving root cause analysis efforts
  • Working closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability
  • Supporting plant modernization initiatives and introducing new automation technologies
  • Developing dashboards, reporting, and visibility into manufacturing performance metrics
  • Managing automation projects from concept through implementation

What They're Looking For
  • 3-6 years of controls engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens platforms
  • Experience with Ignition and/or FactoryTalk
