We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Outreach Specialist (English/Spanish or English/Creole) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping children and families access the services they need. The Outreach Specialist, plays a crucial role in connecting families with the resources and support necessary for the positive growth and development of their children.
This position acts as liaison between pediatric offices and our Help Me Grow team and is out in the field visiting pediatrician offices to provide program information and increase awareness of 211 services. Proficiency in HMG-endorsed screening tools, like the ASQ and others, is essential for identifying concerns related to child learning, development, and emotional or behavioral issues.
***Candidate must be local to area so can visit Pediatric offices and attend local outreach events.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outreach activities to identify and engage families in need of children's services.
- Build strong relationships with community partners, pediatrician offices and organizations to enhance outreach efforts and promote 211 services.
- Provide information and guidelines to families about available services and programs.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, and client interactions.
- Complete developmental screenings and referrals to qualified children as needed.
- Identify and cultivate opportunities to speak to pediatric community organizations regarding 211 and Help Me Grow; utilizing the agreed upon PowerPoint presentation.
- Assists with funding applications and reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience, preferably in outreach, social services, or a related field.
- Bachelor's or associate degree in social work or early child development from an accredited college or university is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Suite; ability to enter and retrieve information in databases.
- Ability to establish professional relationships.
- Bilingual English/Spanish or Creole/English.

211 Palm Beach Treasure Coast is a private nonprofit 501(c)3 agency that was started in 1971 and quickly expanded into crisis counseling and suicide prevention. The agency cultivates a caring and dynamic team to service Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast (five counties). Additional partners provided funding to support a quality, centralized access point for health, and human services information and crisis services. 2-1-1 was designated nationally by the FCC for information and referral purposes, and it became the telephone number for the agency's helpline.

The position:
Full time day shift position covering Palm Beach County or the Treasure Coast.
