AP CLERK

Salary Range: $25 to $30 per hour (DOE and state)

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The Accounts Payable Clerks is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payables. They also track purchase orders and process payments that come into the company's accounting department from suppliers or customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Process checks requests and expense reports on a regular basis
  • Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
  • Counts daily drops for all properties
  • Reconciles petty cash/pay-outs updates petty cash report in Google Docs
  • Daily sales reports, storage on and offsite
  • Updating and creating new files when necessary
  • Yearend organizing files to move offsite, updating file labels
  • Makes deposits and picks up change
  • Requests duplicate invoices from Vendors
  • Managers and other staff regarding payouts and related cash drop issue
  • Perform monthly reconciliations
  • Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
  • Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
  • Audit and process credit card bills
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.   • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with General Ledger preferred
  • Two 2+ years' experience in accounting
  • knowledge of basic account software is essential
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Minimum 2 years restaurant or comparable experience, a plus
  • Able to work a minimum 5 days/week on-site at restaurant offices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Has and uses good judgment in the principal's absence
  • Able to maintain confidential information
