Job Summary:​​​​​​

Responsible for the overall direction, administration, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects. Manages project scope, budget and schedule to establish operational priorities and maintains satisfactory relationships with construction coordinators, sub-contractors, and vendors.

Job Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
  • Assist the Program Engineer and Field Engineers in planning, coordinating, and executing program activities.
  • Work closely with Field Engineers and the Program Engineer to develop, monitor, and maintain program budgets.
  • Track project costs, conduct cost analysis, and report on budget variances.
  • Assist in cost forecasting and ensure cost control measures are in place.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records related to program activities, contracts, and costs.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, proposals, and presentations as required.
  • Manage program-related documents and files, ensuring organization and accessibility.
  • Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and optimization.
  • Prepare contract documents, ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including program managers, legal, and finance teams, to develop contract terms and conditions.
  • Review and analyze contract terms, identifying areas that require negotiation or clarification.
  • Negotiate contract terms with subcontractors, vendors, and other parties to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Oversee the execution of contracts, ensuring that all necessary signatures and approvals are obtained.
  • Maintain an organized system for tracking and storing executed contracts for easy retrieval.
  • Monitor and track compliance with contract terms and conditions throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Manage contract change orders, including negotiations and documentation.
  • Ensure that all changes to the original contract are documented and communicated to relevant parties.
  • Manage the Change Order process with the Owner, including T&M tracking, notices, formal correspondence, logs, etc.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A four-year degree, preferred in engineering, science, or technical college degree.
  • Self-starter with organizational, managerial, and leadership skills.
  • Must have effective organizational, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and technical writing skills. Must be able to communicate to large groups of craft personnel as well as management and client teams.
  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Ability to relocate to project locations (as required)
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of construction processes; Fiber to the Home (FTTH) construction a plus
  • Strong work ethic
  • Team player
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft suite products, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SharePoint (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Experience in Telecommunications and/or Utility Construction strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with onboarding and continued management of construction subcontractor providers.
Technical:
  • Experience with SiteTracker preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
