Job Summary:
- We are seeking a Sanitation Manager to oversee sanitation protocols within our manufacturing facilities. This role involves developing procedures, implementing cleaning schedules, leading a sanitation team, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain a sanitary and safe working environment.
Job Duties:
- Develop and update sanitation procedures to comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Implement cleaning and sanitization schedules for all plant areas.
- Supervise and lead a sanitation team, providing training and guidance.
- Coordinate sanitation activities to minimize disruption to production processes.
- Conduct routine inspections to assess cleanliness and hygiene.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in sanitation practices.
- Communicate effectively with production, quality control, and maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sanitation initiatives.
- Ensure employees have required food safety, sanitation, and safety training.
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure policies and procedures are up to date and communicated.
- Support food safety and quality in the plant.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years' experience in sanitation management in the food manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
- Understanding of GMP, SQF audits, FDA, PMO, HACCP, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
