Seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish Preferred), hands-on, experienced Distribution Center - Outbound Supervisor/Manager to join our growing team. The Outbound Supervisor/Manager is a critical role in the success of starting our new Fort Worth, Texas distribution center. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and will use a systems and process-driven approach to impact the success of the operation. This leader will be responsible for all aspects of the Distribution Center's outbound operation, including Order Fulfillment, both small parcel and LTL/TL, and the Replenishment function.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Hands-on, working manager to plan and direct all outbound activities in the distribution operation, from shelf stock to shipping dock, including, but not limited to, performance management, attendance management, training, employee engagement and retention, and employee development.
  • Directs and oversees all order fulfillment activity (both small parcel and LTL/TL shipments), including the replenishment of pick location inventory from overstock area.
  • Responsible for order auditing and accuracy.
  • Conducts daily status meetings with team to review overall performance and to develop the action plan for the current day.
  • Primary point of contact for emergency order fulfillment after-hours or on weekends (rare occurrence).
  • Responsible for ensuring all company and safety policies are enforced and up to date.
  • Develop and implement new processes/procedures to improve overall warehouse operations and maintain consistent delivery standards.
  • Measure and drive improvement in key performance indicators to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Responsible for organization of suitable and necessary training for all outbound employees.
  • Collaborate with supervisor and management teams to facilitate improvements.
  • Constantly monitors the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of materials and products with ongoing analysis of logistical problems and producing new solutions.
  • Ensure that all Outbound initiatives have goals and metrics.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's or advanced degree
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) - highly preferred
  • 5-10 years of work experience of which a minimum of five must have been in supervisory / management.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • Extensive understanding of all material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory and returns processes
  • Professional sense of urgency
  • Exceptional math, problem solving, and analytical skills needed
  • Willing to work overtime when necessary
  • Must be able to get along well and communicate with a variety of people and work as part of a team
  • Lean Six Sigma training or certification
  • 6s methodology, 7s would be a plus

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to communicate professionally at various organizational levels
  • Must be able to hear/understand/speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce
  • Must be comfortable working with or around material handling equipment
