We have an immediate need for a Senior Software Engineer working with Guidewire Integrations. Slide is on a quest to revolutionize all facets of property insurance and to make that happen, we need to do things differently. What you will be doing:
  • Work collaboratively with a development team using Agile methodology, Source version control, and Release management to deliver user stories and software.
  • Lead a team of developers, collaborating with both Developers and Business Analysts.
  • Architect and create solution designs, effectively presenting solution architecture with various options and estimates.
  • Assist in GOSU code reviews, code cleanups, and participate in sprint demos.
  • Utilize technical expertise in Java/GOSU to build and maintain integrations for multi-platform applications.
  • Design, develop, and deploy complex integrations, working with Guidewire software and multi-tier applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful project delivery.
  • Provide ongoing support, address issues, and implement updates for ClaimCenter applications.
  • Optimize application performance for speed, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
  • Follow industry best practices, security, and compliance guidelines.
  • Utilize version control systems to manage and track code effectively.
  • Share knowledge and provide training on ClaimCenter functionalities and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the ClaimCenter platform.
  • Follow best practice software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Mentor team members and aid in delegating work to engineers within the delivery team.
  • Protect operations by keeping internal and non-public information confidential.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

What you have:

Education, Experience, and Licensing:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience required.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with Guidewire required.
  • 7+ years overall experience in IT required.
  • Experience in GW Cloud engagements required.
  • 3+ years' experience with tools like Git, Bit Bucket, TeamCity, and Data Dog preferred.
  • Experience with Rest Client API for consuming rest services and Guidewire Integration Views.
  • Guidewire Certification preferred.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient in Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Expertise in Guidewire ClaimCenter, ContactManager, and Portal.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire platform, including Gosu scripting, UI, and Data Model.
  • Familiarity with GOSU, PCFs, Business Rules, Underwriting Rules, Guidewire Event Messaging/Rules Framework.
  • Expertise in Guidewire Integration Framework, Cloud APIs, App Events, Guidewire Integration Gateway.
  • Familiarity with working on Middleware platforms such as MuleSoft is a plus.
  • Proficient in consuming/publishing SOAP APIs and Rest APIs.
  • Expertise in Guidewire Workflows and Forms development.
  • Development of GUnit/Junit tests for testing business logic.
  • Design and development of batch processes within Guidewire Centers and external batch processes connected to Guidewire systems.
  • Design and development of adapters, service APIs, and Plugin components based on business requirements.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced agile process, embracing practices such as TDD and CI/CD.
  • Demonstrate project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to think critically and objectively.
