About the Position:

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Flight Software Developer to join our Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) team. This position will support real-time navigation flight software development, HWIL navigation sensor integration, performance, and testing. The applicant will be located on-site at one of the IM main offices in Houston, TX or Glen Burnie, MD. The candidate will work in a cross-functional team on the design, development, manufacture, test, and on-orbit operation of flight and ground support software for the Lunar Data Network relay satellites.

Responsibilities:

  • Real-time flight software development and testing
  • Integration and test of flight software in software- and hardware-in-the-loop environments
  • Development of software- and hardware-in-the-loop environments

Requirements:

  • MS or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience with C, C++, and Python
  • Experience with real-time software
  • Experience with GN&C hardware including IMU, Star Trackers, GPS, LIDAR and OpNav
  • Experience with SWIL and HWIL testing and integration
  • Experience with GN&C sensor testing, planning, and modelling
  • Experience supporting a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience with spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics
  • Experience with JIRA and Agile processes
  • Experience with Git version control preferred


Preferred:

  • Experience with navigation sensor hardware, Kalman filters, LIDAR, real-time software, Monte Carlo analysis, C/C++, Python, Trick, Bash, GEONS, CSPICE, GMAT, Monte
  • Experience in relative navigation, image processing, and feature detection techniques
  • Experience developing high fidelity, hardware/software-in-the-loop PNT or GN&C simulations
