Job Description

FTE/Mon-Fri

A Dallas, Texas based private medical laboratory is seeking a highly efficient and motivated Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee all aspects of a high-volume medical laboratory Revenue Cycle Division. The Revenue Cycle Manager’s responsibilities include analyzing metrics to identify reimbursement discrepancies, overseeing, and ensuring claims, denials and appeals are efficiently processed, and resolving billing discrepancies. This candidate should also be able to code diagnoses and procedures in compliance to organizational and regulatory standards related to governmental and third-party payor requirements.

A successful Revenue Cycle Manager will have personnel management experience as well as knowledge of regulatory standards and revenue operations. A top-performing Revenue Cycle manager must have expertise to proactively implement process improvement within the Revenue Cycle Division.

RCM Responsibilities:

· Implementing system updates to consistently ensure billing collection procedures are efficient, effective, and timely to maximize and maintain accurate reimbursement.

· Interpersonal skills to support the Revenue Cycle division in various duties such as account management, communications with insurance providers, collections, cash/check posting, contract analysis, and billing.

· Managing staff performance by providing regular feedback, performance reviews, and one-on-one meetings.

· Reviewing financial hardship applications.

· Overseeing the hiring and training of staff.

· Efficiently managing patient complaints with respect to billing and collections.

· Planning and structuring the department workflow and staffing.

· Accurately coding diagnoses and procedures.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Experience:

· Proficient in Excel and other EHR systems

· 5 + years management/supervisorial experience within medical laboratory or related field preferred.

· Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC). Certified Coding Specialists (CCS), or a similar credential from a recognized accrediting body required.

· Provide expertise in ICD-10-CM CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems to guide application development and training of LIS/EHR systems.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Healthcare Administration, or related field or 10 + years experience in the field.
