Barn Worker

Wesleyan College is seeking Part-Time Barn Workers to join our growing team!

The duty of the Barn Worker is to administer general care (feeding, turning out, ect,..) to the horses that live at the Nancy Ellis Knox Equestrian Center. Employees will need to be detail oriented and have previous equine care experience. This position reports to the Barn Manager. Shifts will vary for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Turning in/out of horses
• Feeding Hay/Grain
  • Feeding are typically at 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 4:00 PM, and 8:00 PM
• Filling and cleaning water buckets
• Mucking stalls
• Sweeping Barn Aisle
• Reporting any lameness, cuts, or noticeable swelling to the barn manager and/or equestrian director
