Senior Software Engineer

At BuildWitt, we are passionate about supporting the Dirt World—the critical infrastructure and natural resources that enable daily life. BuildWitt Training is our flagship micro-training platform designed to empower companies and individuals within the Dirt World with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. We are seeking a polyglot Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about learning new technologies and is a self-starter. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in C#, .NET frameworks, Azure services, and React, and will be adept at leading the development of complex software solutions while embracing and mastering new technological paradigms.

What you'll get to do day-to-day: 

• Architect and develop software systems using C#, .NET, and Azure.
• Lead the creation of scalable front-end applications using React.
• Drive CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate .NET applications with React-based front ends.
• Guarantee high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Promote code quality, organization, and automation.

You'll have the best opportunity to succeed in this role if you have:

• Extensive experience in C#, and .NET development, including .NET Core and ASP.NET. or similar frameworks in other languages.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure services and Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Expertise in front-end development with React.
• Deep understanding of SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Mastery of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Leadership skills and experience mentoring junior staff.
• Exposure to IaC tools such as Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• You love to learn new things and adapt easily to change.
