What We Are Looking for in the Ideal Candidate
MQC is looking for hard-working, detail orientated, dedicated individuals that are looking to invest in the company and have the company invest in them.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Technician Administrative Assistant that is a fast learner who understands the demands of the role. The Technician Administrative Assistant will be working with a team of calibration technicians providing data entry support, administrative support, reviewing calibration certificates, cleaning, and prepping items for calibration and/or delivery. A high degree of organizational ability and communication with all levels are essential to the position.
What Will You Be Doing:
- Creating, preparing and completing calibration certificates for technicians
- Performing data entry
- Reviewing of calibration certificates for accuracy
- Ensures orders are being processed timely and updating customer service team of any backorders
- Prepares gages for delivery i.e., packaging gages or dip sealing gages
- Maintaining secondary and/or working calibration standards
- Assist technician in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision equipment
- Preparing calibration reports and certificates
- Adapts to existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements tasks
- Preparing gages for delivery i.e., packaging gages or dip sealing gages
- Reporting on activities and obstacles to upper management
- Other duties as deemed necessary
Requirements and Skills Needed for Success:
- Ability to pay attention to details while producing error free work product
- Proven experience in Calibration Laboratories preferred
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, management
- Great organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities
- Local travel may be required to perform on site calibration at the customer facility
- Willing and capable to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to work autonomously without supervision
- Ability to multi-task
- Have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Type 40+ words per minute
- Proficiency in Microsoft based products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Advanced education is preferred
