Engineering Technician (3D Modeling Software exp req) Description

Our client, in the medical device industry, is looking for an Engineering Technician to join their team in Livermore, CA. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for performing research, building prototypes and inspecting products. You will aid the senior engineer by communicating effectively to troubleshoot technical issues and design models for new products and equipment. The ideal candidate will be familiar with data modeling tools and software. Engineering Technician (3D Modeling Software exp req) Responsibilities

• Create drawings and schematics using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
• Review drawings, and update as necessary
• Troubleshoot problems that arise with tools/machinery and coordinate necessary repairs
• Conduct experiments and investigations with Sr. Engineers
• Work with engineers and staff to ensure production is efficient and drive improvements
• Ensure availability of required materials, tools, and machinery for production/manufacturing
• Supporting production by assisting with one or more or all stages of the manufacturing process
• Assess the quality of products and identify any defects
• Collaborate with the quality assurance department to assist with testing and/or inspections
• Ensure products meet safety and quality control requirements

Engineering Technician (3D Modeling Software exp req) Qualifications

• Community college, undergraduate degree or equivalent education required
• 0-3 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings required
• 3D Modeling Software (CAD, AutoCad, Solidworks) experience required
