SANITATION - Cleaning Processing Plant

Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Daytime Cleaner/Janitor for our Egg Processing Plant in Roggen, CO. This position is responsible for cleaning up broken eggs and processing them through a centrifuge, emptying trash, and helping to maintain a clean and safe working environment. This position will also assist the processing lead with other projects and duties as needed. We have Overtime opportunities!

Position Responsibilities:

• Use provided hand tools to pick up broken egg and deposit into totes
• Empty totes as they fill up throughout the day
• Empty barrels of broken egg into centrifuge to separate shells from liquid
• Place liquid in containers and stage for transport
• Dispose of egg shells as directed
• Empty trash barrels throughout the day
• Keep floors clear of broken egg and debris
• Responsible for helping other positions as needed
• Work at a fast pace, on your feet for the majority of the day
• Must be able to comfortably lift 25-70 lbs. up to 5 feet high

Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)

• Follows all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMP
• Requires bending, kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, turning, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination
• Must be dependable and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Able and willing to work Overtime as needed
