Warehouse Associate

Job summary

Genera is constructing a commercial scale facility in Vonore, Tennessee that will convert agricultural fibers into pulp for sale into the market and making molded fiber products such as disposable food containers and other paper products. This position will perform an array of functions that may include working with computerized systems for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. This is a dayshift position.

Summary of essential job functions

• Good computer and Microsoft office experience, especially Excel
• Experience with inventory and ERP computerized systems preferred.
• Sustains knowledge, skills and abilities required for equipment and processes assigned.
• Operate trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment to move freight
• Performs preventive maintenance of the equipment.
• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Open bales, crates and other containers
• Prepare parcels for mailing
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment and participate in quality and safety audits

Minimum requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
• Dependable and Reliable
• Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
• Certification to ride forklift truck
• Office 365, Net Suite, Excel preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to talk and/or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, to reach with hands and arms, climb ladders and stairs, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch and push or pull on objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position will require the use of safety equipment and clothing, including eye and hearing protection, hard hats, and respiratory protection and safety shoes. Where noise levels exceed allowable limits, hearing protection is required and provided.
