Hale Technology in Practice, LLC seeks a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Specialist/Engineer in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated, and collaborative leader capable of engaging effectively with project teams and clients and working independently. The position requires the ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them.

Salary and position will be based on proven experience.

VDC Specialist/Engineer:

Job-related functions include, but are not limited to:

3D modeling using Autodesk Revit
3D laser scanning field acquisition and processing
Drone operation and photogrammetry

Learning and applying applications such as Revit, ReCap, Navisworks, BIM360, AutoCAD, FARO Scene, Bluebeam, Edgewise, As-Built, Pix4D, Trimble Connect, DroneDeploy, Enscape, VR/AR applications, project management software, others

- Multi-Discipline Coordination
- Taking a job from start to finish
- Performing at a high level to maintain project schedules
- Preparing documents to a level consistent with Hale TiP quality standards
- Prioritizing and handling multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Travel required up to 20% of the time

Education and Experience Required:

- Associate’s degree or higher (architecture, construction, or engineering preferred)
- 2 years+ experience with modeling utilizing Autodesk Revit
- Understanding of building design and construction practices preferred
- Laser scanning experience preferred but not required
- A general familiarity with design visualization and environmental analysis applications - Experience with Plumbing and/or HVAC systems is required
