IT Support & Asset Specialist

Plexos Group LLC is currently seeking an experienced IT Support Tech & Asset Specialist for our Baton Rouge office.

This position will provide the organization with information technology support to optimize operational efficiencies as well as manage assets.

Responsibilities:

·         Resolve IT support requests from employees via a ticketing system.

·         Ability to solve level 1 & 2 IT technical issues.

·         Answering employee questions regarding computer systems

·         Gather and analyze data to diagnose problems with computer systems.

·         Change configurations, settings, and permissions to fix computer issues.

·         Install and configure hardware and software components.

·         Image/configure laptops for distribution to employees.

·         Repair and replace damaged computer hardware.

·         Establish good relationships with all clients and colleagues.

·         Manage technical documentation.

·         Keep accurate and detailed descriptions of services performed while on a service call.

·         Assist with installation of relevant cabling as well as various network or security systems.

·         Display good interpersonal skills while interacting with clients from various departments and executive levels.

·         Ability to understand technical problems and implement solutions.

·         Receive IT equipment delivered to Information Services, including logging received equipment, verify their contents, ensure they match purchase order, storing it securely, conducting periodic inventories and logging distribution.

·         Track asset utilization and ensure assets not in use are recovered, inventoried, relocated, or disposed of in accordance with company policies and procedures.

·         Manage the movement of equipment between locations including generating shipping labels and researching shipments as needed.

·         Conduct inventory and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly asset reports.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar.

·         5-7 years of experience as an IT Support specialist and/or Desktop Tech Support

·         Proficiency in helpdesk software

·         Asset management experience

Working conditions/physical demands

·         This position will be based in our Baton Rouge, LA office environment.

·         You will be required to work in the office 5 days a week.

·         Some work may require before/after hours work to meet project deliverables.

·         This position may require lifting boxes and hardware up to 45 lbs.
