Job description

RINA is currently recruiting for a Asset Management Lead to join its project office in Chicago, IL within theย North America Infrastructure & Mobility Division.

Please note that this position will work from our project office located at 11203 S. Corliss Ave, Chicago, IL 60628. Public transportation is not available.

Compensation Data

$130,000 - $180,000 commensurate with experience and education.ย 

Mission

The Asset Management Lead is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and delivering all Transit Asset Management (TAM) activities. The position serves as the primary interface between design, construction, systems, commissioning, document controls, and client personnel to ensure all project assets are accurately identified, classified, documented, validated, and transferred into the client Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system in accordance with FTA Transit Asset Management regulations and project specifications.

Key Accountabilities

Asset Management Program Leadership:

  • Develop and maintain the Project Asset Management Plan.
  • Establish procedures for asset identification, tracking, verification, and turnover.
  • Assist SME(s) with predictive maintenance calculations.
  • Lead implementation of Asset Management requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for asset management activities.
  • Develop QA/QC procedures for asset data.
  • Modify or establish data governance and asset standards.
  • Coordinate asset hierarchy development.
  • Develop asset dashboards and KPIs to track completeness, accuracy, and readiness.

Design & Construction Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering disciplines to identify all maintainable assets during design.
  • Establish asset registers for needed the project, to be input to EAM
  • Manage ongoing updates of asset inventories during construction.
  • Verify installed assets match approved design documentation.
  • Coordinate monthly asset management submissions.
  • Ensure asset information complies with client required data fields including asset number, class, category, warranty, manufacturer, design life, location, commissioning date, software/firmware versions, and otherย required metadata.ย 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Asset Management, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure or transit projects.
  • Minimum 5 years managing asset information on major transportation projects.
  • Experience delivering owner turnover documentation.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management systems.
  • Experience with large infrastructure databases.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management principles.
  • Proven leader with expertise in data governance, cross-functional team coordination, quality and configuration management, and technical documentation.
  • Recognized for strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to lead teams, streamline processes, and deliver high-quality technical and business solutions
  • Experience with rail transit systems is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on Design-Build transit projects.
  • GIS integration experience.
  • Understanding of ISO 55000 Asset Management principles.
  • Knowledge of FTA Transit Asset Management requirements.
  • Familiarity with National Transit Database asset reporting.

Technical Skills

Preferred experience with:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Relational databases, data querying, and enterprise data management technologies
  • MS Power BI or equivalent business intelligence and data visualization tools
  • SharePoint
  • Autodesk Forma (Autodesk Construction Cloud)
  • Hexagon EAM (HxGN EAM)
  • Esri ArcGISย
