Cost Accounting Supervisor

This cost accounting supervisor role is a newly created position as a result of the expansion of Trina’s manufacturing footprint into U.S. This role is the key member of the controller’s group in Trina’s U.S. manufacturing business unit and is regarded as the subject matter expert in costing and all aspects of manufacturing finance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cost planning and forecast process in a cross-functional effort with supply chain team, capacity planning team and various manufacturing overhead departments
• Responsible for product costing setup, maintenance and inventory revaluation process
• Involved in month end close process by owning COGS, PPV and inventory valuation and inventory reconciliation
• Manage PO process for inventory and manufacturing OH, including vendor on-boarding, payment term and spending analysis
• Month end financial reports and analysis including variance analysis, trend and flux analysis
• Account reconciliation with a focus on inventory and accrued accounts reconciliation
• Active inventory reporting and management working with logistics/warehouse team and FTZ compliance team
• Lead the semi-annual inventory counts and assist both external and internal in inventory testing
• Key liaison with HQ cost accounting and global manufacturing Finance teams on costing method alignment and collecting and documentation of upstream costing
• Participate in process improvement and system implementation projects related to inventory and production
• Conduct research on technical accounting treatments as a key resource of the latest US GAAP and IFRS

Requirements:

• 6-10 years’ Finance/accounting experience in technology sector, solar, semi-conductor industries preferred
• Self-starter, effective communicator with an inquisitive mind to learn new concepts and processes
• Experience working in an international organization in different time zones
• Ability to conduct accounting standards research, CPA preferred
• Proficient with top tier enterprise application software
