Job Description

The Field Cost Accountant (FCA) is essential in tracking project costs and assisting the Site Project Manager with site-specific tasks, such as report preparation, timesheet management, procurement, and travel arrangements. The FCA also plays a crucial role in maintaining timely communication with clients and various department personnel. This position requires extensive travel, which varies based on the Task Order scope of work and can range from a few weeks to several months, seasonally or year-long.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Track project costs daily using RCMS
  • Produce and organize daily cost reports with backup documentation
  • Complete project cost reconciliations
  • Process project-related accounts payable
  • Create and submit timesheets to payroll
  • Fulfill site procurement needs
  • Track equipment and material usage
  • Secure travel accommodations for employees
  • Handle supply and equipment pick-up and delivery

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Reliability and honesty
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Teams, Copilot, and Adobe
  • General accounting background with experience in accounts payable, payroll, and billing
  • Clear and effective communication with staff and clients at all levels

  • Must be able to perform duties above while working in a job office trailer or other form of remote office location
