HR Intern (Summer Internship - Part-Time)

This is a Paid Part-Time Summer Internship Position

What We’re Looking For
Travelpro is seeking an HR Intern to join our Human Resources team! This part-time internship will focus on various human resources initiatives, and provide an opportunity to gain on-the-job experience at a leading Consumer Products Goods (CPG) company and learn what it is like to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do
In this role you will assess and assist with the continuous roll out of the HR function for our employees. You will also:

• Design and update job descriptions.
• Source potential candidates from various online channels (e.g. social media and professional platforms).
• Craft recruiting emails to attract passive candidates.
• Screen incoming resumes and application forms.
• Advertise job openings on company’s careers page, social media, job boards and internally.
• Send job offer emails and answer queries about compensation and benefits.
• Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs.
• Act as a consultant to new hires and help them onboard.
• Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
• Assist with payroll and HR projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or another related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future work authorization or visa sponsorship.
• Must be local (WPB, Broward and Dade candidates ONLY!!)
