Assistant Administrator (ARRT) - Department of Radiology
Renowned academic medical center is currently seeking to hire an Assistant Administrator - Department of Radiology. The Assistant Administrator - Department of Radiology is responsible for the oversight of the daily administrative operations of the radiology department. The Assistant Administrator will be charged with assuring the efficient use of departmental resources while maximizing the quality of the service and the overall patient and staff experience. The Director must be ARRT certified.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Administrator or Radiology:
- Provide necessary administrative oversight to ensure quality and timely imaging and smooth daily operations.
- Ensure the efficient use of departmental financial and capital resources.
- Stay abreast of advances in technology and recommend the acquisition of new and replacement capital equipment.
- Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for the Department of Radiology.
- Provide guidance to supervisory staff and conduct regular meetings to promote open communication.
- Conduct performance appraisals annually.
- Promote ongoing staff development.
- Monitor and maintain proper levels of inventory control and ensure supply standardization.
- Assure compliance with DOH, TJC, and ACR requirements.
- Promote a patient-centered experience including responding swiftly to patient and physician complaints.
- Participate in quality and process improvement and redesign.
- Work with Finance to assure fiscal management, budgeting and business model development.
Education Requirements for the Assistant Administrator of Radiology:
- Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Health Science required; Master’s Degree preferred
- ARRT certification
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, EPIC, PACS, etc.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience as a supervisor of an imaging service
