Sales – Specialty Chemicals
Location: Union, NJ
Salary: $80,000 + Uncapped Commission (OTE yr 1 $90k+; yr 2 $120k+)
Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401k + Match, Sick, PTO, Generous Holiday Schedule
Job Type: Full-time, in-office when not traveling
Typical Hours: M-Th 9-5 ET; Friday 8:30 – 4:30 ET
Start Date: ASAP
Travel: As needed up to 20% - both domestic and international

Sales – Specialty Chemicals Description

Do you have a passion for Chemistry? Are you hungry to close a sale and earn your commission? Our client in the specialty chemicals industry is looking for a Sales Rep to add to their team in Union, NJ. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will be responsible for hunting down new leads utilizing proven networking tools and securing new clients/contracts for the company. The average sale is $50k and takes anywhere from 6 weeks to a year to close, depending on size and complexity. Commission is paid quarterly. You will be given every tool for success, including the undivided attention of company sales executives. Every barrier to success will be removed. 

Our client is looking for someone who can hold a technical conversation regarding specialty chemicals and loves to sell them. To be successful in the role, you must have at least one year of sales experience and be very familiar with specialty chemicals such as Pharma synthesis, Fine chemicals, Lubricants, Greases, Thermoplastics, etc. This is a great opportunity to join a stable company with an expanding customer base and earn unlimited commission. Sales – Specialty Chemicals Responsibilities

•    Network and attend tradeshows
•    Hunt and prospect for new business 
•    Generate sales with new and existing accounts 
•    Develop and maintain customer relationships 
•    Recommend potential add-ons
•    Follow up on quotes 
•    Stay current on industry knowledge 
•    Coordinate with cross-functional departments 
•    Maintain and track data in CRM 
•    Achieve quote to sales conversion targets 
•    Assist with innovative customer solutions

Sales – Specialty Chemicals Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree with a Science Major required
•    1+ years of proven sales experience required
•    Familiarity with ANY chemicals, lubricants, thermoplastics, OR small molecules, etc. required
•    Ability to travel to meet customers required, both domestic and international travel possible
