Job Description

Tails Pet Resort is a high-end pet care facility that provides exceptional services to pets and their owners. We are seeking a dedicated and friendly receptionist to join our team. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their furry friends. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining client records. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator, possess outstanding customer service skills, and have a passion for animals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome clients and their pets as they arrive at the facility
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and messages promptly and professionally
  • Schedule appointments and confirm reservations with clients
  • Manage client information and records in the system
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients by answering their questions and addressing their concerns
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and manage petty cash
  • Assist with administrative duties such as filing, organizing, and data entry
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and well-organized
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operation of the facility

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a pet care facility
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and software applications
  • Ability to handle animals in a safe and humane manner

Working Conditions: The receptionist will work primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment. The job may require standing, sitting, and walking for long periods of time. The receptionist may also interact with animals, which could be unpredictable or aggressive at times.
