• Our ideal Industrial Designer candidate has professional experience in industrial design with interest and expertise in areas of 2D, 3D Graphic design, and CMF design.
• As an Industrial Designer, you are part of the Mack product design team, implementing Mack Design language and strategy and executing graphic and CMF concepts for Mack trucks product lines.
• While collaborating with cross-functional design teams, you ensure successful alignment between user experience and brand identity.
• As an integral part of the Mack Design team, you work closely with the interior, exterior and UX teams, actively supporting the development of Mack Trucks branded products.
• You utilize design thinking techniques to keep an understanding of the users' and customers' needs at the center of all activities.
• Explore Graphic design concepts and strategies for both hardware and software. (e.g. Patterns, Labels, Fonts, Icons and Symbols, and digital experiences)
• Explore CMF design concepts and strategies that support and enhance the overall product, brand, and UX design.
• Research and analyze input from related trends (e.g. Competitive set, Consumer electronics and automotive, Culture, Human behavior, technology, design, etc.) considering business efficiency and economical drive, brand platform, and user-centered factors.
• Manage several projects and strategic tasks simultaneously, from initial problem analysis to proposals of visual design solutions, graphics, artwork, and CMF design for final approval on a product.
• Leads all aspects of the design process, from research and analysis to concept exploration, creation, and execution of final proposals for production.
• Effectively communicates ideas and concepts through sketches, renderings, and other visualization methods and graphic presentations. 2D and 3D renderings.
• Supports the Chief Designer and Design Director with professional design experience, product and customer knowledge, aesthetic competence, and process and method expertise.
• Secure Graphic Design quality and content before sending information to the outsourcing supplier
• Provide necessary design input for physical and digital modeling teams e.g. emblems, symbols, and icons.
• Create artwork to support marketing activities regarding launch and event merchandise
• Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually

• Minimum BA degree in Industrial design or Graphic design, or a related design discipline
• Min 3-5 years of documented experience in the design field and experience from the automotive industry is a merit
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D tools and software, Alias, Adobe Design package, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Keyshot
• Outstanding visual presentation skills
• Knowledge of printing and production techniques
• Excellent presentation and visual communication skills
• Demonstrate skills in time management and planning
• Understanding of Brand design strategies
• Demonstrates unique and innovative solutions that push boundaries yet are producible with high levels of quality
• Understanding of ergonomics and cognitive HMI
• Problem-solving skills, generate and evaluate alternative solutions
